We first discussed The American Center for Manufacturing & Innovation (ACMI)’s National Security Industrial Hub (NSIH) in Bloomfield, Indiana, near Crane Army Ammunition Activity and Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, in our June 2025 issue of Defense and Munitions. Now they’ve officially broken ground thanks to a $75 million grant from the Pentagon and have officially secured Prometheus Energetics as the anchor tenant, ready to take more than 696 acres of the campus.
The campus will centralize key elements of the munitions supply chain by collocating manufacturers of major components and subcomponents, while providing access to state-of-the-art equipment and manufacturing resources. SPINNER North America and iRocket announced plans to join the NSIH in July 2026, expanding the total campus to more than 1,500 acres from the originally planned 1,100 acres….
